My life was an absolute mess, and it was slowly killing me.

Dismay and anguish defined my everyday life.

Until Wilder. He became what I’d never known I craved.

He was my
world, my best friend.
For once…I
was happy.
Until it
all started crashing down around us.

Wilder

From the moment I’d met Joslyn, she’d been my everything.

I’d never expected to have her in my life, but she was finally mine.

There was
no way I was going to lose her.
I would
lay down my life to keep her safe.
My MC has been my life. Danger has never been uncommon.

I was made
for this lifestyle, but now Joslyn’s in danger too.
They’ve
messed with the wrong MC, and now we are coming for them…

May they rest in pieces.

Game on.

My review:

Today is my stop on the blog tour for LeAnn Asher’s latest MC novel, Wilder (Grim Sinners MC #2)! Unfortunately, I did not read the first book about Lane, however, this is a standalone and can be enjoyed regardless.

Joslyn is a young woman that has had a really rough life consisting of no father, an abusive addict Mother, a creepy, awful step-father, and an even worse step-brother. When she has to run – yet again – from the horrible people in her life, Wilder shows up where she is hiding out and swoops in to protect her. Wilder is a tough, sexy, alpha male in the Grim Sinners MC, but we soon find out about his softer, sweeter side as he tries to protect Joslyn from the terrible people in her past.

Wilder is the epitome of a strong, alpha character, especially when it comes to Joslyn and the rest of his MC family. Although he had some moments that he appeared to be scary as hell, he also had some moments that were so loving and caring. Joslyn was a very inexperienced, quiet, and shy character at first, but her personality developed throughout the novel. My favorite thing about Joslyn was watching her find happiness and love, all the while being so incredibly grateful for every little thing.

My struggle with reading Wilder centered around the writing itself, especially the dialogue between characters. For an author that has written several books, I found it to be choppy, overly simple, and at times just immature. There were also some situations that were just too unbelievable and moved too quickly, also taking away from my enjoyment of the novel. If it weren’t for the writing, I would most likely give this a five star rating because the characters and basic plot were fantastic.
