Title: Unforgivable
Author: Isabel Love
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Date: April 26, 2018

There are certain things that are unforgivable…
Falling for your brother’s best friend is one of them.
That isn’t the worst thing I’ve done, though.
Not even close.
Shame and guilt follow me everywhere.
Except when I’m with him.
With him, I can breathe again.
Smile again. Love again.
But he has no idea what I’ve done…

My Review:

Unforgivable is the newest romance from author Isabel Love and it is absolutely amazing! This story is about Anna and Wesley and their lives since they first met when she was twelve and he was fourteen. Wesley has been shuffled between foster homes when he meets Anna and her older brother John. Anna and John’s life has been comfortable and happy, which Wesley soon learns when he’s invited over after school. That one afternoon results in him and John being lifelong best friends, as well as, and incredibly close bond with Anna and her parents. Wesley wants to be more than friends with Anna, she feels the same, but neither of them knows the other feels that way. However, both Anna and Wesley make tough decisions and mistakes as teenagers, changing their lives and their futures.
Anna starts out as this young, spunky twelve year old ready to defend anyone being mistreated and shower them with love and friendship. Her brother and family are all fabulous and it’s a happy life. When things change for Anna, the author does an incredible job with her writing and characterization portraying the changes in Anna. I could literally see and hear the difference in her attitude, voice, lifestyle, etc. as she struggled with a mistake she made, and as she slowly crawled out of her own darkness.
My heart broke for Wesley so many times being a foster child in a crappy home, being bullied by kids at school, and wanting nothing more than friends and family in his life. Wesley also made some mistakes, multiple times, but he was also such a developed character that was a pleasure to watch grow into such a wonderful man.
Each of these characters went through so many highs and lows, all of which kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page until the last. It has all the feels and emotions that a reader could wish for, and honestly, this is one that I will most likely go back and read again just because I loved these characters so much. I cannot recommend Unforgivable enough! It’s emotional and difficult at times, but left my heart nearly bursting with joy!

“Would you
mind keeping this piece steady while I attach it?” he asks, interrupting my
problem.” I take my position opposite him, holding the piece of trim in place
against the dresser as he drills screws into the underside so that they remain
hidden from view. It’s like magic.
I study him
as he works.
He tilts
his head this way and that to make sure the piece is level before he starts.
Then, he lifts the drill, and taut muscles shine with sweat as he drives each
screw into the boards with purpose. His forearms flex and jump with every
movement. And his tattoo calls my eye to follow the bumps and dips of his
biceps and triceps.
Scott is a perfectly sculpted specimen of a man. He’s strong. Confident. Capable.
He catches
me staring and winks, rewarding me with his rare, crooked grin. I feel myself
flush as I quickly look away, totally busted.

No, I don’t
mind helping him one bit.
