My Review:
Oh my goodness, I loved this wonderful story about Tucker, Camryn, and Tucker’s daughter Shayne. When Camryn decides to move and make a fresh start, she luckily ends up neighbors with a very hot single dad, Tucker, and his fabulous young daughter, Shayne. Neither is looking for love or complications in life, yet they are quickly drawn to one another. However, each has their own ghosts and fears to overcome while navigating how to build a relationship.
I will start with Camryn because she absolutely rocked. Shayne was amazing and I fell for her as quickly as Camryn did, but overall – Camryn stole the show. Being a self-proclaimed Daddy’s girl, having been raised by my Dad and him always being my best friend – I immediately identified with Camryn and the changes she was trying to make in her life.
I also loved Tucker – until I didn’t. Without giving spoilers, this man had my heart for the majority of the novel until he completely screwed up and had me reaching for more Kleenex than I would have liked. Tucker was smart, handsome, sexy, and a great father, but dear Lord, that man had to get over himself and realize that he was not the only person in the world that had suffered hardships. With that being said, he was still the embodiment of a sexy, swoon-worthy man that I will not quickly forget.
If you are a fan of conflict with a happily ever after ending and aren’t we all, then this is your dream novel. Despite the moments I wanted to grab Tucker and just choke him, this is a happily ever after for the storybooks. I hate to admit it, but I believe I’ve read the last few chapters and epilogue 4 or 5 times because I couldn’t get enough. This was my first time reading K. Street, but absolutely will not be my last. She is a masterful storyteller that will give you all the great feels you want from a novel. Add this one to your TBR immediately, it is truly wonderful.
