My Review:

Sweet Love at Bayside is the sweet, romantic story of Rick Savage and Desiree Cleary. Rick runs a successful business out of Washington D.C. but enjoys spending time back home with family and friends on Cape Cod where he also co-owns Bayside Resorts. Desiree has been summoned away from her Virginia home based on a pleading request from her artistic, eclectic and unreliable mother. However, upon her arrival, Desiree realizes that her mother is leaving the country and wants Desiree and her half-sister Violet to oversee renovations to their family home and manage her mother’s on-site gallery and store. Soon, Desiree and Rick meet, sparks begin to fly, but what will happen when it’s time for them to return home?

I love everything written by Addison Cole and have been addicted to her Seaside Summers series, so of course, I was thrilled to read and review her new Bayside Summer series! This one did not disappoint!

Desiree is sweet, beautiful, and somewhat reserved when the novel begins, but as she begins re-connecting with her half-sister Violet, the reader slowly sees a more carefree and adventurous side of Desiree. Rick also seems somewhat serious at the beginning, as well as, steal dealing with the trauma of losing his father during a sailing accident years earlier. However, Rick also has a fun and flirty side which only seems to grow throughout the novel.

My favorite thing about Sweet Love at Bayside was the rekindling of the relationship between Desiree and Violet. Yes, I realize it should be all about the romance with Rick and Desiree, but I loved watching these two grow closer and slowly open up about their regrets about their relationship between each other, as well as, with their mother.

Both Rick and Desiree reached each other in different ways, but their growing relationship sparked a new outlook on life for each of them, as well as, prompting them both to consider major life changes in order to find happiness. The beauty of it all was that their choices were not only because of the feelings that developed between them but because of an overall desire for a better life.

I cannot recommend this series enough to fans of sweet, sexy, contemporary romance. If you are already a fan of Addison Cole, then I assure you that this first novel in this series will completely hook you. For those that haven’t read Addison Cole yet, you are missing out on amazing, meaningful, and heartfelt storylines that are completely addictive, make your heart burst with joy, and just leave you feeling good. Kudos to this outstanding author for bringing readers another incredible series.

My Review:

Sweet Passions is the amazing 2nd novel in the Bayside Summers series and takes us on a journey with Dean and Emery. If you have read Sweet Love at Bayside, then you will remember these fantastic characters and are probably as excited as I was for their story!

Dean Masters is a sexy, creative guy that co-owns Bayside Resorts with Rick and his brother Drake. Emery is Desiree’s best friend that has decided to move to the area to offer yoga at Desiree’s bed and breakfast, as well as, at Bayside Resorts. When they met almost a year earlier while Emery was visiting Desiree, Dean and Emery were immediately drawn to each other, quickly became friends, and have stayed in touch daily with phone calls and texts. But now that Emery has moved to the area, Dean is ready to move forward from being friends to much more.

There is not enough praise and words of love, admiration, lust, etc. for how I feel about the yummy Dean Masters! This man is completely addictive and instantly became my newest book boyfriend from the first few pages of the novel. On the other hand, I struggled with Emery from time to time. She was so convinced that she is terrible at relationships and could never make a relationship work with anyone that it became frustrating from time to time. However, her outgoing, caring, bubbly demeanor that was usually present, helped me grow to love her as the novel progressed.

Once again, Addison Cole has not just presented readers with a sweet and sexy love story, but a novel that touches on taking chances, overcoming family conflict, and the power of optimism, love, and patience. I love friends to lovers stories, but this one is definitely special in how it focuses on Dean’s issues with his family, Emery’s growing friendships with the residents in the area, and the happiness that comes with being with friends and loved ones.

When I became completely addicted to Addison’s Seaside Summers series, I never imagined that I could fall in love with any other book characters in the same way, because they were all so amazing. But the Bayside series is quickly changing my mind! I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens in the next novel, where Drake gets his story!
