Welcome to my stop on the tour for K.L. Grayson’s latest release, Crazy Beautiful Love! Part of the Dirty Dicks series (that sounds worse than it is, lol), this novel is about another wonderful and amazing Allen brother – Beau, and an honorary member of their family due t best friend status, Tess Walker. Beau is an internationally known photographer that has a wonderful and adventurous life, but he’s back home for awhile to get ready for his brother’s wedding. Tess has had a less than happy childhood and upbringing but has fought hard to rebuild her life and now runs the local florist in town, Petal Pushers. Tess cannot stand Beau. He knows she looks familiar but can’t place her. And her certainly has no idea why she hates him so much, because the feelings that he is having for her are far from hate.
Wow, K.L. Grayson knows how to create incredible male lead characters. Beau is just yummy all around from his looks, to his talents as a photographer, and of most of all – his perfect balance between romance and sexiness. Tess took a little longer to grow in me although I’m not sure why exactly. I guess it was her more negative outlook on life compared to the other characters in the novel almost made it as if she didn’t quite fit into the series. But when her true charm and enormous heart started to shine, all I wanted was for her and Beau to find their HEA.
On a more serious note, however, I was completely able to relate with Tess regarding her relationships with both her mother and grandmother. It was as if the author knew me personally and the horrible women that raised me, so I truly empathized with her past and her attempts to overcome it. Hmmm… Maybe that’s why something about her bothered me at first? Hit a bit too close to home?
Anyway, Crazy Beautiful Love is a wonderful addition to this series. I continue falling more and more in love with the entire Allen family, their significant others, and their unique storylines. I highly recommend this novel and series.
