**My Review**
Welcome to my stop on the release tour for AJ Alexander’s new novel, Stay. This first book in her Odd Jobs series is about Addison and Cole, who initially, seem about as mismatched as two people could be. She comes from money and is used to being controlled by her (famous physician) father and ex-boyfriend until she moves away to start her own life and become a teacher. Cole dropped out of veterinary school and started his own successful dog-walking business. Used to going through women like some go through changes of clothes, Cole is shocked when he meets Addison and is quickly wanting more from her than he’s ever wanted from a woman.
I loved that the male lead in this novel is a dog walker! Being a major dog person, I was easily attracted to Cole because of his chosen profession. And since I was a teacher for 15 years, I was also drawn to Addison’s character, especially coming from such a successful and prominent family, yet she still chose to follow her heart.
Although I love hot and steamy novels and am a huge fan of AJ Alexander, I did find myself struggling with such a strong focus on sex, as well as, the characters’ tendency to party, have sex, and fight more than they did anything else. Nevertheless, this was a cute, sexy read that I flew through, and was very excited to see that the next novel in the series focuses on Heather and Wyatt!
Stay is a great, light-hearted, and romantic book for fans of contemporary romance and especially those that enjoy enemies-to-romance stories.
