ready for more. Ready to give dating a shot, even with an eight-year-old daughter and twenty-four-hour shifts needing my attention.
**My Review**
Welcome to my stop on the release blitz for the latest by Laramie Briscoe, Inflame. This first book in her new Midnight Cove series is about single dad Ash and a young woman Emma, whom he knew of in high school but they didn’t really run in the same social circle. Frequenting the diner where Emma works, Ash sees Emma often, but one day, something about her looks different and seems different, prompting him to leave his number on the table. When she finally gets up the nerve to contact, all of her high-school crush dreams have the possibility of coming true.
Inflame was a fantastic book! This is a quick read that is full of romance but also includes some difficult situations pertaining to Ash’s job as a firefighter. At times, I felt that their relationship got too serious too fast, but on the other hand, the chemistry between them, as well as, between Emma and Ash’s six-year-old daughter Syd was so palpable that it just seemed right.
Laramie Briscoe includes some very steamy scenes in this book, with one of the hottest ones being Ash all by himself thinking about Emma. It was so incredibly hot there just aren’t words! In addition to the steamy sexiness of this novel, however, are great themes regarding parenting, love, taking chances, moving forward, and working through trying times.
I have always been a fan of Briscoe’s storylines and characters and Inflame certainly did not disappoint! I cannot wait to see what comes next in this series!

When she’s not writing alpha males who seriously love their women, she loves spending time with friends, reading, and marathoning shows on her DVR. Married to her high school sweetheart, Laramie lives in Bowling Green, KY with her husband (the Travel Coordinator) and a sometimes crazy cat named Beau.
