**My Review**
Welcome to my stop on the tour for Harloe Rae’s latest novel, Ask Me Why. This novel is about a woman Braelyn, who years after a tragic accident is still trying to emotionally recover. One day an adorable little boy named Ollie comes running into her store and her heart soars just looking at him. That is until Ollie’s brooding, cocky, angry, and rude father Brance walks in. After offending Braelyn in every way possible, the two slowly begin to call a truce because Ollie is completely smitten with the sweet shop owner and Brance finds himself thinking all sorts of things about her all the time. But they don’t just sail into a happy ending.
I really loved this emotional, sexy, funny, and romantic novel. I was addicted to it from the beginning and stayed that way until the last line. Ollie was such a sweet and charismatic little thing that I fell in love with him immediately! Brance, not so much. I was honestly offended by how rude he was in the beginning and then again later in the novel. What a shit of a character! But as I always say, when an author writes a character that infuriates me that much – bravo for your writing ability! Brance redeems himself, then falls to the top of my shit list again, but eventually redeems himself for good and makes my heart practically burst!
Braelyn was impossible not to love with her sweet and funny demeanor, especially when she was around Ollie or other people that she loved. My only struggle with her was I wasn’t completely buying into her lingering emotional instability three years after the accident. I’m not trying to anger anyone or be insensitive, but three years and still that clinically depressed? The woman needed ongoing therapy and most likely medication in my opinion. Nevertheless, her character was engaging and likable, not to mention patient to a fault. I loved the idea of her store, Thicket, and Harloe Rae’s writing and descriptions had me seeing, smelling, and hearing all the fabulous things in her store!
Ask Me Why has an original plot, extremely well-developed characters, sadness, joy, anger, frustration, romance and every other possible emotion in between! This is a great novel, certainly a page-turner, and I promise that you will be thinking about the characters long after you have finished reading this one.

sexy disarray, sections pointing in every direction. I curl my fingers, hiding
the guilty offenders. But combing through those silky strands will be committed
to memory. I want to do that again, multiple times. But I tamp my trampy side
down. For now.

sweeps the brown locks off his forehead, erasing more proof of our tryst. “Nah,
gotta get back to the office.”
