**My Review**
Welcome to my stop on the release blitz tour for Jennifer Hanks’ latest in the Dimarco series, Charlie. Unfortunately, I think this is also the last in the series, which destroys my heart, but once I got into it, I quit being sad and just sat back and enjoyed!
Anyone who has followed this series knows that Charlie has been around since the beginning, seeing that she is best friends with the only Dimarco girl, Grace, and considered part of their family. Charlie has always thought that Ben looked at her like a little sister, although she has been crazy over him forever. Ben did think of Charlie like a sister for a while, but then suddenly everything changed and he realized the kind of feelings he had all along. But as it always is with the Dimarcos, someone has to be lurking in the background trying to destroy everyone’s happiness, and this time, it’s Ben’s ex.
Confession time. When I signed up for this blitz I didn’t realize it was part of a series. Therefore, prior to reading Charlie, I went back and read all 6 (and a half) books in the Dimarco series. And I read them in three days. That’s how addictive this series is!
Like all of the other installments in this series, Charlie is full of sweet romance, sexy moments, conflict, suspense, and most of all family. Charlie is the perfect romantic, yet sassy female lead. And finally Ben gets to reveal his romantic side that we have hoped was there all along. This book probably had the most stressful external conflict of any of the other books, but it was absolutely worth it in the end. Charlie is a page-turner, will keep you on the edge of your sweet, will make you swoon, and make you cry. It is the perfect combination of happiness, angst, and romance. I absolutely recommend Charlie to fans of contemporary romance, especially friends to lovers romance. You don’t necessarily have to read the entire series to enjoy this one, but it will make much more sense and besides – every book in the series is amazing.
