**My Review**
Welcome to my stop on the sale blitz tour for Isabel Lucero’s On the Rocks. This first title in the Kingston Brother series is about Royce Kingston, owner of Kingston Tavern, and one of his regular customers, London. Royce finds London beautiful and adores everything about her. The problem, however, is that she has a boyfriend. Boyfriend or not, London can’t deny how attracted she is to Royce but refuses to act on that attraction while she is with someone else. But once things sizzle out with her boyfriend and she tells Royce that she is single, everything changes.
I really enjoyed this book and it definitely has me interested in the rest of the series. It was an easy read filled with lots of flirty banter, several funny moments, and amazing chemistry between London at Royce. I was worried for a while because I thought cheating might be involved (which isn’t my favorite), however, this is a no-cheating, slow-burn romance that has a sweet and happy ending.
Royce is a main character that you will completely fall for! While I was frustrated with London from time to time, I couldn’t help but love her character also. Most of the story takes place in Royce’s bar and although the conversations were interesting and there was some conflict here and there, the plot isn’t complex. I won’t say I got bored by any means, but there were times I wished there was a bit more substance.
Isabel Lucero is a new author to me, but I certainly plan on reading more from her in the future, specifically the follow-up novels in this series!
