*My Review*
Welcome to my stop on the tour for Ana Huang’s second in her Twisted series, Twisted Games. Bridget is a Princess of Eldorra and second in line for the throne, yet she enjoys a quieter life out of the spotlight in the United States. Rhys is an ex-Navy Seal working as a bodyguard and has been hired to replace Bridget’s longtime bodyguard who is returning to Eldorra. Rhys and Bridget immediately dislike one another and bump heads, but after awhile, the tension between them changes. When her brother bdicates because of following in love with a non-Royal woman, Bridget is suddenly thrust into a role she never wanted and thinks that her and Rhys must go there seperate ways. But they soon realize that even ancient laws in her Kingdom can’t keep them apart.
This one is a bit challenging to review because there are things that I loved and hated. I loved Rhys and I loved Bridget. These characters had amazing chemistry and they were both adorably cute and sexy together at the same time. I liked the slow burn romance between them, knowing that when they finally came together it was because they were both completely done trying to stay away from one another. There were times I thought Rhys was going to blow a gasket and it was actually very cute.
My first issue is the length of the book. I feel like it is the longest book I’ve ever read. The print version says 454 pages but I am confused as to why. I love slow burn novels and I love that they had major conflicts to overcome but it really didn’t need to be that long. My other issue is that the overall plot itself is just too much for any attempts at suspension of belief. Again, I loved the chemistry between the main characters but the plot, conflict, and resolution were just silly.
Twisted Games is an entertaining romance for readers who enjoy the royal theme and like a slow burn romance. The main characters are entertaining and their affection and chemistry were palpable for most of the novel. The characters refer Hallmark movies several times and I think if you are a fan of the fantastical royal romances that air on Hallmark, you will love this novel!

EXCERPT
I stopped in front of what I knew was the library from my pre-wedding advance work. “Get in,” I said curtly.
A hard swallow disturbed the delicate lines of Bridget’s throat, but she obeyed without argument.
I followed her inside and locked the door behind us with a soft click. The room wasn’t fully furnished yet, and it was empty save for a rug, a table, and a large mirror. The lights were off, but there was enough moonlight streaming through the curtains for me to spot Bridget’s wary expression.
“I told you, I had to bring him,” she said. “Everyone expected me to bring a date, and it would’ve been weird if I only danced with him once.”
“Stop saying the word ‘date.’” It came out soft and dangerous enough she shivered.
I walked to the table by the window and leaned against it while watching Bridget through dark, hooded eyes.
Possessiveness and anger gripped me—not at her, but at our situation and a world where we were forced to sneak around like criminals. I hated having to hide her, us. I wanted the world to know she was mine and mine alone. I wanted to tattoo myself into her skin and sink into her so fucking deep she could never get me out.
“Take off your dress,” I said.
“Rhys—”
“Take. It. Off.”
