My Review:
Hopefully, you have already seen my rave reviews for the Forbidden series and it should come as no surprise that I absolutely loved book three, Fall for Him.
The second in the series, Lie to You, had my hopes so high for an HEA, but no…. I was left shocked, angry, mad, and heartbroken for Josephine. However, Josephine is determined to hold her head high, and after some planning and plotting with her best friends Annie and Brody, she decides to make Rebel regret losing her. Josephine has really developed into a strong, assertive young woman this time around, but on the other hand, author J.C. Valentine takes Rebel’s character even further showing several sweet and romantic moments.
I wasn’t really sure about how I felt about him overall when I started this novel, but I can absolutely say now that I love Rebel and want one of my own 🙂 Although he remained the alpha, arrogant, sexy man that we’ve already gotten to know, Fall for Him confirmed my earlier suspicions that he really does have a heart in there somewhere.
A very pleasant addition to this novel was Joe’s work associate/friend Darrell. He was hilarious, sweet, comforting – all of the best qualities of a friend and coworker. On the other hand, the author includes several evil, frustrating, conniving, crappy moments with company owner Florence and Joe’s coworker Jenna. These are not likable characters, at all. However, kudos to Valentine’s writing and character development leading me to despise them as much as I did!
Fall for Him has been my favorite in this series, leaving feeling all happy and romantic! This novel was sexy, sweet, suspenseful, frustrating, and a nail-biter. However, this novel and the series has quickly moved into my list of favorite reads. I can’t wait to read the fourth novel in the series about Ransom!
