**My Review**

Welcome to my stop on the tour for Melissa Foster’s 3rd book in the Bayside Summers series, Bayside Heat! Although just the 3rd book in the series, I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Drake and Serena’s story! Drake Savage stole Serena Mallery’s heart when she was only 13 and they’ve been best friends forever, as well as, co-workers. Serena has always thought that Drake’s feelings for her were strictly platonic, until a steamy night of passion and emotions the night before she leaves for a new job in Boston. Right as she’s leaving all of her friends, especially Drake, behind for her dream job, things have heated up between her and Drake and emotions are on the table. Drake wants Serena but has never wanted to stand in the way of her dreams. Now they’re faced with her demanding new job, a few hours distance between them, and their long-buried feelings for one another all at once. 

As stated previously, I’ve been very eager for a book about Drake and Serena because although they’ve appeared to just be friends, it’s been painfully obvious that they secretly felt otherwise. Melissa Foster built such incredible emotional and sexual tension between these two as the day approached for Serena to move away and when they finally “connected,” it was well worth the wait. 

Regarding Drake, once he admitted his true feelings I feel that he did everything about as right as he could. He was patient, understanding, and handled disappoint well when her new job interfered with their plans. He went above and beyond to stay connected despite the distance and was so romantic I wanted to eat him up!

I completely respected Serena’s desire to make her own life and career, despite being away from Drake. But I must admit that she frustrated me to death, several times, as she struggled with her tense relationship with her new boss, missing Drake and her friends, and vowing not to run after a man like her mother. Don’t get me wrong, I love her character and loved this book but I just wanted to smack some sense into her several times!

In addition to Drake and Serena’s love story, Foster also allows the reader to re-connect with the other wonderful characters, catching up with their relationships and lives. And I’m beyond excited that my favorite character in the series, Violet, will soon be getting her own book! This series is so packed full of love, friendship, and steamy scenes that it is completely addictive. Bayside Heat is yet another example of Foster’s uncanny ability to entertain and connect with her readers unlike any other that I have read. Highly recommend Bayside Heat, as well as, the entire series! I promise that you will be addicted before you finish the first page and if you are not already a Melissa Foster fan (for some strange reason), you will be after this!
